I am a bit late getting the picks up this week.  My picks for the Thanksgiving day games were the Patriots, Jets and Saints, all of who came through, although I did took the Saints with -5.5 points, so the Bookies had the last laugh on that one.

If you are after a good value bet this week try the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.  The Buccaneers are paying 3.90 on betfair and will give the Ravens a very good run for their money.  The Philadelphia Eagles are also very amazing value at 1.66 and would be great in a double along with either the Packers or Redskins.

Week 10 offers some good options for punters.  My pick of the week is the NY Jets who are paying $1.60.  The best value of the week has to be with the Detroit Lions (2-6) who are up against the winless Buffalo Bills.  Detroit pushed the NY Jets all the way last week, losing a heartbreaker in overtime and at $2.34 are hard to pass up this week.

It’s taken a while but week 9 has finally delivered the sort of results we were hoping for. Our computerised NFL picking system correctly picked 11 out of the 13 winners for the week (although I suggested going against the Falcons to take a punt on the big Tampa Bay odds).

And in case you were wondering, the two incorrect picks were:

• New England Patriots
• Indianapolis Colts

Week 9 could have a few surprises in store…

Buccaneers (5-2) vs Falcons (5-2)

One of the most interesting match ups for punters is the NFC South clash between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Atlanta Falcons.  Both teams are sporting a 5-2 win/loss record, however Atlanta has a clear advantage when comparing offensive and defensive statistics.  Based on the stats alone, I would be be putting my money on the Falcons, however Tampa Bay are actually big underdogs, and are currently paying 4.80 on Betfair.

Given this value, and the Buccaneers ability to hang in and win close games, I am going to back Tampa Bay for a close win.

Two other good value picks for this round are the Indianapolis Colts (who are underdogs in their match against the Eagles) and the San Diego Chargers who have everything it takes to win if they can just stay focused for 60 miutes.
