With all the data and stats for the first three weeks of the NFL season now loaded we are ready to commence the NFL picks for the 2011 NFL Season. In keeping with our format for last season, we will be grouping our picks into strong picks and close calls.

AFC - New York Jets vs Pittsburgh Steelers

NFC – Green Bay Packers vs Chicago Bears

Here are the picks for the wildcard playoff round:

New York Jets vs Indianapolis Colts

The Jets looked very strong early in the season but have struggled a little towards the end.  The Colts on the other hand have turned around a very poor season start and have finished the season well.  This match will come down to the performance of the QB’s and I believe Peyton Mannings playoff experience will see the Colts win this matchup.  Pick: Indianapolis Colts

Baltimore Ravens vs Kansas City Chiefs

The Ravens and Chiefs are quite evenly matched, however Baltimore has been the better team during the year and has proven they can stick around to win matches.  Pick: Baltimore Ravens

New Orleans Saints vs Seattle Seahawks

The New Orleans Saints will win this one easily.  Pick: New Orleans Saints

Green Bay Packers vs Philadelphia Eagles

This is a very difficult game to predict.  The Packers and Eagles have both played very well this year.  Despite being a big Green Bay Packer fan, I believe that Michael Vicks versatility will give the Eagles the edge and ultimately the win.  Pick: Philadelphia Eagles

I am a bit late getting the picks up this week.  My picks for the Thanksgiving day games were the Patriots, Jets and Saints, all of who came through, although I did took the Saints with -5.5 points, so the Bookies had the last laugh on that one.

If you are after a good value bet this week try the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.  The Buccaneers are paying 3.90 on betfair and will give the Ravens a very good run for their money.  The Philadelphia Eagles are also very amazing value at 1.66 and would be great in a double along with either the Packers or Redskins.

Week 10 offers some good options for punters.  My pick of the week is the NY Jets who are paying $1.60.  The best value of the week has to be with the Detroit Lions (2-6) who are up against the winless Buffalo Bills.  Detroit pushed the NY Jets all the way last week, losing a heartbreaker in overtime and at $2.34 are hard to pass up this week.

It’s taken a while but week 9 has finally delivered the sort of results we were hoping for. Our computerised NFL picking system correctly picked 11 out of the 13 winners for the week (although I suggested going against the Falcons to take a punt on the big Tampa Bay odds).
